Rev. Doug Bradshaw

Rev. Doug Bradshaw has served as Executive Director of Facing Forward to End Homelessness, a non-profit empowering those experiencing homelessness in Chicago, toward confident independence, since 2014. Prior to Facing Forward, Doug served congregations in the Chicago Presbytery since 2002 and is currently a Parish Associate at Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville.

Dan Coyne

Dan Coyne is a licensed clinical social worker with over thirty years of private/public school service. Dan serves several organizations that help improve upon this community and is known for helping organizations to discover creative partnerships in meeting their missions. Dan and his wife Emily have lived in Evanston for over thirty years where they have cultivated deep roots in relational community life.

George Kaptizky

George Kaptizky is an experienced senior financial executive with extensive experience in corporate strategy, process improvements, financial modeling, selection and installation of complex IT systems, debt/treasury structuring, and risk management. He brings these mature talents to RPDC in a time when we are expanding our capacity to develop and manage more complex affordable housing projects. George is a CPA with a MBA from Miami University (1983).

Mary Goering

Mary Goering

Mary Goering is a long-time resident of southeast Evanston and member of Reba Place Church. She is a graduate from Augustana College and Yale Law School and currently practices immigration law.

David Janzen

David Janzen

David Janzen currently serves as the President of the Reba Place Development Corporation Board of Directors and works as an Assistant and Advisor on the RPDC staff. David has been an Evanston resident since moving into the Reba Place Fellowship neighborhood in 1984 with his wife and two children. He directed RPDC from its inception in 1996 until 2014. Prior to working with RPDC, David studied at Bethel College and Harvard Divinity school and earned an MA in history from the University of Kansas. He and his wife helped found New Creation Fellowship in Newton, Kansas prior to moving to Evanston. David is passionate about community building and advocacy and has spent time serving as Director and writer for the Nurturing Communities Network.

Michelle Macklin

Michelle Macklin works as a Planning and Development Consultant/Specialist focused on affordable housing creation and construction workforce capacity building. She brings expertise in urban and neighborhood design and planning to the RPDC Board as well as her gifts of organization, collaboration, and creativity. She is interested in envisioning alternatives to the physical and social environments in which we all live. Michelle lives in Evanston with her husband and son.

Allie Payne

Allie Payne

Allie Payne works as a Real Estate Agent and has been a lifetime resident of Evanston. She brings many years of market experience, energy, and enthusiasm to the RPDC Board. Allie has built a reputation among clients for her creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to increase the marketability and aesthetic value of spaces. Allie also serves on the boards of Curt’s Café and the McGaw YMCA in her commitment to give back to her community.

Ileana Valencia

Ileana Valencia was born in Guatemala City and came to Chicago in July of 1983. Prior to moving to the United States, she earned her degree as a Grade School Teacher in Guatemala City. She pursued further education at St. Augustine College in Chicago. Ileana currently works as a Spanish teacher at the Chicago Waldorf School and is an Evanston resident.

Matthew Mitchell

Matthew Mitchell is an attorney, born and raised in Evanston. He graduated from the University of Oregon and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He owns and operates his own legal practice that specializes in municipal law, civil litigation, administrative law, mediation and conflict resolution. Matthew is an elected Ridgeville Park District commissioner and volunteers his time as an attorney to a number of local pro-bono organizations. Matthew lives in Evanston with his wife and two young sons.
